Xbox chief Phil Spencer has revealed that Starfield, Bethesda’s space RPG, has surpassed 12 million players. Announced during the CCXP event in Brazil, Spencer praised the game as a significant success, though specific sales figures were not disclosed.
Released as a day-one Game Pass title on PC and Xbox Series X and S in September, Starfield quickly became Bethesda's biggest launch ever, rapidly attracting over six million players in its first week. Despite mixed reviews on Steam, the game has maintained its popularity, consistently ranking among Xbox studios' top 10 most-played games.

Looking ahead, Spencer promised more content for Starfield, including the upcoming expansion 'Shattered Space' and the release of mod tools for community-created content. He expressed confidence that, much like Skyrim, Starfield would continue to be a major player in the gaming world for years to come.
