By October 5th, sales of "Phantom Liberty" had surpassed 3 million units, but this figure has since expanded to 4.3 million. Notably, among players who own the PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S version of "Cyberpunk 2077" that supports the "Phantom Liberty" expansion, 20% have purchased the DLC, indicating a significant uptick in DLC adoption rates.
In addition to the success of "Phantom Liberty," CD PROJEKT RED has disclosed that some of the teams responsible for the expansion are continuing to work on the "Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition." This edition will include both the main game and the "Phantom Liberty" expansion pack.
Furthermore, the company is undergoing a transition with its development focus, as nearly half of CD PROJEKT RED's developers are now contributing to the upcoming sequel in The Witcher series, titled "Polaris."
