In the pulse-pounding conclusion of World of Warcraft Classic's most lethal tournament yet, hosted by the OTK Network for Halloween, only one combatant emerged victorious. The Hardcore Mak'gora Event saw 64 players fight in nail-biting duels to the death, leveling from the ground up, with the last player standing to win $50,000.

The victor was none other than Snutz, a prominent Warlock player and Twitch streamer, who vanquished his final adversary Ziqo in an epic showdown. Both competitors had meticulously leveled their characters from 1 to 60, avoiding death entirely, and had outplayed champions of all classes to reach this final standoff among a sea of virtual cadavers.

Snutz wielded his wand and demonic powers with lethal precision, ultimately sending Ziqo to defeat and securing the grand prize along with a custom Starforge PC. In a surprising twist, Snutz also won an additional duel against an opponent who missed the finals, solidifying his supremacy.

However, not all contestants made it to the finals unscathed. A freak accident with Goblin Rocket Boots ended one hopeful's journey prematurely, even after winning a duel. Another observer fell victim to similar Goblin engineering woes. A pair of Rogues, in a private duel for a spot in the finals, found themselves in an unforeseen fatal encounter.

The event wasn't without controversy. A Reddit user, Contract007, suggested that Snutz and Ziqo leveraged their streaming fame, potentially gaining an edge through support from their fan base for leveling and gearing up. This sparked a debate over the fairness of such advantages and called into question the integrity of the competition.

While acknowledging Snutz's and Ziqo's undeniable talent, Contract007 and other commenters expressed a desire for future tournaments to offer better chances to lesser-known players, hoping to diversify the leaderboard and bring fresh faces into the spotlight. With the community's eyes now open to the disparities, many are calling for rule revisions to level the playing field in future WoW Classic tournaments.
