Devsisters is whipping up a fresh installment for the renowned mobile game series, Cookie Run, titled "The Darkest Night." Set to debut on Nov. 30, 2023, for Meta Quest platforms, this release marks Cookie Run's first venture into the VR realm. Players will immerse themselves in an action-packed puzzle-adventure, following a courageous gingerbread man named GingerBrave as he dares to defy destiny and break free from a wicked witch's castle.
Throughout his journey, GingerBrave encounters various challenges but also rallies an eclectic team of allies, including a Frankenstein-inspired cookie, a sorcerer, a strongman, and an aviator.
"The Darkest Night" will unfold episodically, with the inaugural chapter showcasing 11 distinct zones, each presenting unique themes, tasks, and mini-games. These mini-games capture the essence of navigating a vast human world as a petite cookie. Mundane tasks, like opening doors or avoiding a curious feline, evolve into formidable hurdles for our diminutive protagonists.
Venturing through the castle reveals areas like a bakery, laboratory, and gnome garden. While they might exude an enchanting aura, these locations morph into challenging mazes for someone just five inches in height. To successfully traverse this world, players must strategize against various foes and avoid getting singed.
Fans can now pre-order "Cookie Run: The Darkest Night" on the Meta Quest store. Those who secure their copy before the Nov. 30 launch will enjoy a 12% price cut, paying 21.99 USD rather than 24.99 USD. As of now, the release date for the second chapter remains under wraps.
