A view of an Apple Store in China
Recent data from echInsights shows that in the second quarter of 2023, Apple's global iPhone shipments decreased by 9.3% year-on-year, totaling 43.10 million units, with a market share of 16.0%.
In 2023, Apple did not release the iPhone SE, which is one of the reasons for the decline in shipments for the quarter. Driven by increased sales of the iPhone 14 Pro series models, Apple's average selling price (ASP) reached a historic high in the second quarter.
Additionally, China surpassed the United States for the first time in the quarter, becoming the largest single market for iPhone shipments.
