The indie game sensation, "Papers, Please," celebrates its 10-year anniversary, and developer Lucas Pope is marking the occasion with a special de-make and sale. Released in 2013, "Papers, Please" allows players to play the role of a border customs officer, checking credentials and deciding who can enter the fictional dystopian country.
The new de-make titled "LCD, Please" simplifies the original game, retaining only its core mechanics. Available for free on itch.io, it challenges players to match entrants' names, appearances, nationalities, and passport information. In the more difficult mode, players must also be aware of rules concerning wanted criminals, restricted nationalities, and VIPs.

The gameplay of "LCD, Please" is designed to be very simple, with just four buttons for different actions. The game is a nod to Game & Watch style games and offers an easy entry point for new players interested in the "Papers, Please" universe.
Alongside the de-make, "Papers, Please" is currently on sale across all platforms, including PC Steam, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and PS Vita, for 1.99 USD. Fans can also enjoy goods and a soundtrack, and part of the proceeds will be donated to rescue.org.
Lucas Pope took to Twitter to express his gratitude, stating: "Thank you to everyone that's supported me and my games over the last decade."
