Starting on July 14, 2023, The Pokémon Company has launched an official ASMR livestream on YouTube featuring Snorlax, the most relatable Pokémon of all. In this stream, Snorlax showcases its expertise in sleeping.
The stream takes place in a serene forest clearing where Snorlax peacefully snores away. Other Pokémon pass by, occasionally joining Snorlax for a quick nap. Snorlax may roll around, yawn, or grab a snack from time to time, but its main focus is enjoying a blissful slumber. What a life indeed!
Viewers in the chat have the opportunity to contribute to the stream by writing wholesome "good night" messages. These messages appear within the stream and seem to nourish Snorlax, filling up a meter that triggers special animations. This interactive element adds to the overall experience of the event.
The livestream is scheduled to run for an entire week, until July 21, 2023. Its purpose is to promote the upcoming release of Pokémon Sleep, a new sleep-monitoring app developed by The Pokémon Company. This app will also be compatible with Pokémon Go. While the official release date for Pokémon Sleep is yet to be announced, it is expected to launch sometime in late July, possibly after Snorlax has had its fill of sleep during the week-long livestream.
