NetEase has launched a new development studio called Anchor Point Studios, which will be focused on creating action-adventure games for console and PC. The studio is founded by Paul Ehreth, who is the lead designer of Control and has previously worked on Halo 4 and Halo 5.
The team includes the head of operations, Pere Torrents, who formerly held the same role at Smilegate Barcelona (Crossfire), as well as developers who have worked on titles such as Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption 2, and The Division.

Anchor Point has almost 100 job openings and is seeking developers, technical artists, and designers to work in its offices, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity. The studio is based in Barcelona, Spain, with a second office in Seattle, United States.
NetEase has been acquiring studios in recent years, including SkyBox Labs, Grasshopper Manufacture, and Quantic Dream.
