Hellena Taylor, the former voice actress of Bayonetta, recently claimed that the series creator Hideki Kamiya personally offered her a flat rate of USD 4,000 to voice the character in Bayonetta 3.
She turned down the offer with wrath, stating that the pay rate is extremely low and disrespectful.
The former actress then posted a total of three videos on Twitter explaining her decision of not returning to the role in Bayonetta 3:

Taylor pointed out in the videos that Bayonetta was without a doubt one of Platinum's most successful franchises, and emphasized her effort and extensive training in shaping the character. However, the first offer she got was even below USD 4,000, and the USD 4,000 flat sum offer was a result of her personal appeal.
Now, with Hellena Taylor leaving the character, we are forced to say goodbye to the original voice of Bayonetta. However, the successor of the character will be Jennifer Hale, another big-name voice actress.
Will the new Bayonetta be as good? Only time will tell.
