One of the major/most depressing news for the gaming industry these days would be the unexpected footage leak of GTA 6. On September 19, Rockstar Games issued an official statement regarding the dreadful network intrusion and the fact that GTA 6 may be delayed due to this severe accident.

Nevertheless, a twist quickly occurred. The GTA 6 hacker soon claimed to be the hacker behind the hot Uber hacking incident last week.
Since then, further information was uncovered from the well-known “Breached” - a hacking forum suggesting that a 16-year-old boy with a similar crime record was the one behind both incidents.
The 16-year-old hacker - who goes by the codename “White”, was rumored to be a leader of a cyber-crime team, Lapsus$.
However, Tom Henderson, a famous freelance writer in the game industry (208.5K followers on Twitter), has something different to say. He claimed that there’s a good chance that the hacker didn’t obtain any crucial source code since the hacker was discovered originally getting all the information and footage from Rockstar’s Slack service instead of its highly confidential database.
Obviously, time will tell if he had the full source code or not, but the fact they are not anticipating disruption speaks volumes IMO. PR talk is PR talk, but if the hacker did have the full source code, I wouldn't expect their message to be conveyed the way it has.

Moreover, the 16-year-old hacker seems to have had his identity leaked back on March 5, 2022.
White the Hacker has not responded to any of the discussions and/or accusations yet.
