When Mojang’s decision of banning all integrations of blockchain technology and NFTs within Minecraft took effect on July 20, it completely disrupted NFT Worlds’ plans on emerging Web3-based game platforms.
On July 23, NFT Worlds tweeted a statement in regard to Mojang’s announcement. In this tweet, NFT World also talked about its future roadmap.

It’s worth mentioning that, in the statement, NFT Worlds claimed that they are “creating a new game and platform based on many of the core mechanics of Minecraft, but with the modernization and active development Minecraft has been missing for years”. NFT Worlds also ensured that the new game will not be a “rewrite of some open source Minecraft clone”, but an original piece.
Currently, there’s no more information on NFT Worlds’ new game.
