Microsoft has released the financial report for its fourth fiscal quarter of 2022. With total revenue of 51.9 billion USD and a net income of 16.7 billion, Microsoft had varying increases compared to the previous fiscal quarter.
However, the Xbox gaming division has seen a 7% revenue decrease this quarter, with total revenue of 3.45 billion USD. Xbox hardware sales have also fallen 11%, and Xbox content and services revenue declined 6% as well. Microsoft explained that the decline of revenue in gaming services is primarily a result of players spending less time online, and revenues from Microsoft’s first-party and third-party games decreased as well due to the Xbox Game Pass.
