GeForce NOW is the brand used by Nvidia for its cloud gaming service. Players may rent access to a remote Windows desktop with GeForce GTX graphics via cloud streaming. On the other hand, Genshin Impact is a game with high-quality graphics and a large and diverse open world. Such a game has high hardware requirements, making it hard for some people to experience. HoYoverse released its own cloud gaming service on October 13th, 2021, exclusive in China. Users with stable and high-speed internet report good performance and review it positively. Since then, rumors and discussions about a global cloud gaming service for Genshin Impact have never stopped.

On January 6th, 2022, Genshin Impact started a limited beta for GeForce NOW users on Windows PCs. This week the limited beta will end, and GeForce Now will launch for all members.
