Dark and Darker Overcomes Legal Hurdles, Receives Korean Rating
Dark and Darker, the fantasy RPG from Korean developer Ironmace, has successfully navigated through a sea of legal controversy to receive an official age rating in Korea. The game, which faced removal from Steam amid allegations of asset theft from Ironmace's former employer Nexon, has demonstrated remarkable resilience and continues to thrive post-release in August 2023.
Despite the legal challenges, including a raid by South Korean police on Ironmace's Seongnam office for alleged use of assets from Nexon's RPG project P3, the lawsuit against Ironmace was dismissed in the US. This development marks a significant turnaround for the game, solidifying its standing in the Korean gaming market.

Ironmace's Ju-Hyun 'sdf' Choi announced on the game's Discord channel the receipt of the rating and shared plans to extend the current holiday sale event for two more weeks until January 18. This extension aims to support the game's official launch in Korea and engage new Korean fans.
Currently, Dark and Darker is available for purchase through its official website, where players can create an account and choose between the Standard or Founder’s Edition, both offered at a 30% discount. With Dark and Darker now officially rated in Korea and the sale ongoing, Ironmace is poised to capture the attention of a broader audience, despite its absence on Steam.
