Twitch, the popular streaming platform, has announced a significant update to its policy on sexual content, allowing the broadcasting of certain types of content that were previously prohibited, provided they are appropriately labeled with a Content Classification Label (CCL).
We’ve gotten feedback that our policies around sexual content are unclear so we’ve drawn clearer boundaries between what is & isn’t permitted on Twitch.

This policy clarification enables the streaming of content such as fully nude artistic representations of women’s breasts, genitals, and buttocks in the form of drawings, animations, or sculptures. Additionally, content that intentionally emphasizes the chest, buttocks, or pelvic area, even when fully clothed, body art on women's breasts and buttocks, and erotic dances involving undressing or suggestive gestures are now permissible with the correct labeling.

The new regulations require streamers to use a "Sexual Themes" label for content that focuses on sexualized parts of the body, regardless of gender, including nude figure drawing. However, the policy continues to prohibit the depiction of fictionalized sexual acts or masturbation.
Following this policy update, the "Art" category on Twitch has seen a surge in streams featuring sexual content, indicating a quick adaptation by the community to the new guidelines. This move by Twitch aims to make it clearer for streamers to understand how their content is classified and for viewers to be aware of the nature of the content before viewing.
