Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, the highly anticipated installment of the popular horror game series, has been delayed into 2024. This delay comes as a result of several key developers from Mob Entertainment, the indie studio behind the game, leaving due to creative and managerial differences.

Originally set for a December 2023 release, Poppy Playtime has garnered a significant following since its 2021 debut. Known for its blend of horror elements reminiscent of Five Nights at Freddy’s and Slender, the game has been a hit among fans of the genre. The third chapter was expected to continue the story from the 'Playcare' center cliffhanger in Chapter 2.

In a statement, Mob Entertainment expressed regret over the delay, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a high-quality gaming experience. “The game is not ready yet," they stated, acknowledging the hard work of their developers and the importance of meeting fan expectations.

Former Mob Entertainment developers, including Micah Preciado and his brother Zachary, along with Andy Gill, cited "ongoing creative and managerial differences" as their reasons for departure. Micah Preciado, who joined Mob Entertainment in 2020, expressed gratitude for the experience and wished the studio success in completing Chapter 3. Andy Gill reflected on his time at Mob as both stressful and exciting, contributing significantly to his personal and professional growth.

While there is no precise new release date for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, the delay is hoped to ensure the continuation of the series' success. As fans eagerly await the next chapter, they can explore other top indie and survival games available on PC.
