Trending Chinese Mobile Games
According to Sensor Tower, in August 2023, Chinese mobile games saw various shifts in their overseas revenue and download rankings.
The Chinese mobile game "Honkai: Star Rail" made a comeback to top the revenue and growth charts for August. The release of a new character pool and version 1.3 at the end of the month boosted the game's overseas revenue by 23%, with income from Japan and the U.S. markets increasing by 32% and 20% respectively.

"Whiteout Survival," under the banner of Diandian Interactive, continued its strong performance since its February release, increasing its overseas revenue by 26% in August, jumping to 5th in the revenue rankings. The North American market accounted for 36% of its revenue, up by over 40%.
Since July, the action shooter game "Survivor!.io" has seen a resurgence, with its overseas revenue increasing by 23% in August, elevating its position to 10th in the revenue rankings.

NetEase's "Identity V" launched a collaboration event with "Danganronpa V3," which led to a surge in single-day revenue and a month-over-month increase of 111%, reaching a near two-year high.
The next-gen fantasy RPG "Watcher of Realms" saw a remarkable 78% rise in revenue, making its debut at 27th in the revenue rankings. The U.S. and European markets contributed 48% and 37% to the game's total overseas revenue.

Among others, "PUBG Mobile" continued to lead the overseas download chart with over 11.5 million downloads in August.
Games from XGAME STUDIO, BabyBus Group, and several others also featured prominently in the overseas download rankings for the month.
