Starfield has surpassed the one-million mark for concurrent players across all platforms within just a day of its full release. Phil Spencer, the head honcho at Xbox, shared the milestone on Twitter/X, thanking the gaming community and extending congratulations to Bethesda Studios.
The game was already turning heads last week when it became available in early access for those who purchased the premium edition. During that time, Starfield peaked at 234,502 concurrent players on Steam alone. With the full release, that Steam peak has now climbed to 269,177, suggesting that a large chunk of the remaining players are on Xbox consoles.
Starfield exceeded 1 million concurrent players across all platforms today. Thanks to all the players who helped us reach this great milestone and congrats to the @BethesdaStudios https://t.co/5jFaCyPz4G

While it's not yet confirmed whether Starfield has set a new record for peak concurrent players on Xbox—be it via Game Pass or otherwise—Microsoft appears to be quite pleased with the early results.
