An exclusive report from Variety reveals that CBS Studios is currently developing an animated series based on the popular game "Among Us." The studio, in partnership with game studio Innersloth, has enlisted Owen Dennis as the creator and executive producer of the series.

The show will follow the same premise as the game, where crew members must identify and eliminate an alien imposter before it wreaks havoc on the ship. The animation studio Titmouse, known for shows like "Big Mouth" and "Star Trek: Lower Decks," will be responsible for the animation. Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth, along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse, will also serve as executive producers. While no network or streaming platform has been attached yet, discussions are ongoing. The show will be produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions in association with Innersloth and will fall under the jurisdiction of The Animation Guild.

"Among Us" gained immense popularity in 2020, with millions of active users and billions of views on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. Owen Dennis, the creator of the Cartoon Network series "Infinity Train," is well known for his work in the animation industry. He previously worked on "Regular Show" as a writer and storyboard artist.

As reported, Dennis is represented by UTA, Industry Entertainment, and Yorn Levine Barnes, while Innersloth is represented by Big Pigeon for film and TV.
