Video game giant Capcom has announced the establishment of a new Creative Studio in Osaka, Japan, which includes an impressive motion capture studio. The new facility was unveiled on April 10th.
The studio
Capcom's new Creative Studio is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with two motion capture studios. The larger of the two boasts an impressive shooting range of 11m x 15m x 5m and is fitted with 150 high-resolution cameras, making it the largest motion capture studio in Japan. The high shooting density of the cameras allows for up to 10 performers to be recorded simultaneously, enabling the capture of complex performances.
A vast space
In addition to the motion capture capabilities, the studio also features integration with Capcom's proprietary game development engine, the RE Engine, which has been used in games such as Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 5. This integration allows creators to unleash their imagination and creativity during the recording process fully.
