FunPlus has invested in Conchship Games with a 25% stake, according to enterprise data platform Tianyancha. The latter is the developer behind the Wuxia and mythology-themed indie game The Scroll of Taiwu.
Conshship’s registered capital increased to 1.33 million CNY (~210，430 USD) from 1 million CNY after this round of investment.
The Scroll of Taiwu is also an RPG game with a sandbox feature. In it, Taiwu’s successor tries to defeat the enemies and change the fate of humankind.
The title received two million downloads in 2018 after entering early access in September of that year. Afterward, the developer team announced that multiple updates for the game were in preparation and delayed the debut.
On January 12th, ConchShip Games announced that most parts of the official version’s development had been finished, but the game’s release date is still to be confirmed.
