Nowadays, video games collaborate with foods and/or snacks to do marketing campaigns, which are fine by players and buyers.

For example, people welcomed the COD MW 2 x Jack Link's Beef Jerky marketing idea just as they welcomed the recent new COD title. In this collaboration, COD is providing promotional codes which will grant players double XP on jerky packages - it was well-intentioned, but soon went bad.

Before long, players who purchased these promotional packs of jerky found out that the codes were no longer valid as they tried to redeem them online - it turned out that they were already redeemed by some dishonest players who stole the codes without paying for the packages.

The next time COD wants to run  a similar campaign, hopefully, they will remember to print the codes inside instead of sticking them outside; But most importantly, a word for our fellow players:

Don't be a jerk.
