In August 2022, 4.6 billion mobile games were downloaded globally on the App Store and Google Play, down 1.6% YoY. The Indian market ranked first with 787 million downloads, contributing 17% of the global total. Brazil ranked second with 8.2% of the downloads, followed by the United States with 8.1%.
According to Sensor Tower, Subway Surfers by Minikilt’s SYBO Games topped August's global mobile game download chart with 33.5 million downloads, up 89.4% YoY. China was the largest market for this game, contributing 28.5% of the download volume, followed by India with 13.3%.
Stumble Guys by Kitka Games ranked second with 26.5 million downloads and an 870% YoY growth. Indonesia was the largest market for this game, contributing 15.2% of downloads; The United States at 14%.
Other games listed in the top five are Free Fire from Garen, GT Car Stunt Master 3D from Zego Global, and Candy Crush Saga from King (in the exact order).
