LinkedIn shows that the famous mobile game company Supercell’s global studio manager, Jim Yang, has recently joined HoYoverse as the president of global business.
Jim Yang founded and led Supercell's first global development studio in Shanghai in 2017 and served as the company's General Manager and head of global studios. Prior to that, he also worked for Tencent and its subsidiary, Riot Games.
In February, MiHoYo announced its rebranding to HoYoverse to create and deliver immersive virtual-world experiences to gamers worldwide through a variety of entertainment services. HoYoverse will expand its content production and R&D plans to its offices in Montreal, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul.
HoYoverse co-founder and CEO Cai Haoyu previously said, "The mission of rebranding to HoYoverse is to create a grand content-driven virtual world where games, animation and other entertainment genres merge to provide players a free, immersive experience."
