On July 12th, NPPA just released a new batch of video game licenses. There are in total of 67 video game titles that have acquired licenses and a game named “侠之道” (Xia Zhi Dao) is among them. Normally, the name “Xia Zhi Dao” is considered the Chinese name of the highly anticipated martial hero RPG game “Path of Wuxia”. However, some people pointed out it may be a totally different game.
The screenshot of the NPPA page with the license info of “Xia Zhi Dao” shows there is no content left.
According to those people, the publisher of “Xia Zhi Dao” in the list is a company called “北京雨中客网络科技有限公司” and this company did not have any cooperation with HeLuo Studio, the developer of "Path of Wuxia" before. The company also has an MMO martial hero game called “Xia Zhong Dao(侠众道)”, only one word different from the Chinese name of “Path of Wuxia”. Furthermore, there is no license for this “Xia Zhong Dao”, actually it is using the license of another game called “天天地下城”.
The screenshot of the NPPA page shows there is no license for “Xia Zhong Dao”(侠众道), but a license for “Tian Tian Di Xia Cheng” (天天地下城)
A screenshot of the Taptap page shows the “Tian Tian Di Xia Cheng” (天天地下城) and “Xia Zhong Dao”(侠众道) are the same game.
On Tianyancha, it shows that the company registered “Xia Zhi Dao” on January 12th, one day after “Path of Wuxia” changed its Chinese name to the same name.

Thus, it makes those people believe that the Chinese name of “Path of Wuxia” was squatted by that company. And that company will use it on a totally different game. At this moment, the HeLuo studio has not commented on this.
UPDATE:
On July 20th, HeLuo studio said on Weibo that they had realized the issue. They also confirmed they had registered the legit trademark of "Path of Wuxia" and will report the situation to authorities.
