With the establishment of its overseas game publishing company and the upcoming Unreal V engine open-world games, Tencent has certainly been at the forefront of game development. This time at CGDC, Tencent’s chief engineer Guanrong Lian will share his team’s latest technology, using GAUSS-F, to reduce power consumption and increase frame rate on mobile devices. Lian stated that the graphic quality, level design and the size of mobile games right now are limited by the hardware of phones. As a result, making better games within the limited GPU computing power has become the goal of every mobile game development studio. Lian believes that his team’s new tech will overcome this difficulty and bring more exciting games to players.
