On June 17th, Capcom officially revealed Dragon’s Dogma 2 is under development in the Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary video.

In the 10th Anniversary video, game director Hideaki Itsuno shared the development history of the original Dragon’s Dogma game. At the end of the anniversary celebration, he took off his jacket and revealed a T-Shirt with the logo of “Dragon’s Dogma II” and confirmed the game was in development.

Dragon’s Dogma is an open-world fantasy action RPG released in 2012. Like many other Capcom games, Dragon’s Dogma provided a high-level action gameplay experience and great giant enemy designs. The game quickly received praise from critics and sold over one million units worldwide. One year later, the game released an enhanced version: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, with additional enemies, maps, and mechanics. The PC version of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was Capcom's fastest-selling game for the platform when it was released.

Despite enthusiasts eagerly wanting a sequel and the countless rumors about one, there was no official announcement about Dragon’s Dogma 2 until today.
