Universal Studios has announced a new addition to the "Jurassic World" franchise, set to premiere on July 2, 2025. David Leitch, known for directing "Bullet Train," is currently in discussions to helm the film. The script will be penned by David Koepp, who previously wrote "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." Steven Spielberg, through Amblin Entertainment, will serve as an executive producer alongside Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. Leitch and Kelly McCormick will also produce via their company, 87North.

This upcoming film aims to introduce a fresh narrative within the iconic dinosaur saga, although details on whether cast members from previous films will return remain undisclosed. Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell from Universal will oversee the project, which continues the legacy of a franchise that has grossed over 6 billion USD globally since its inception in 1993. The last movie in the series, "Jurassic World Dominion," achieved over 1 billion USD in worldwide earnings.
