Xbox System Update Fixes Long-Standing Baldur's Gate 3 Save Bug
Xbox Series X/S users can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the much-awaited fix for the Baldur's Gate 3 save bug is now available. After enduring weeks of lost progress due to a persistent save game issue, players can now download the update to resolve the problem.
The save bug has plagued Baldur's Gate 3 players since its launch on Xbox at the end of last year, causing frustration across the gaming community. Larian Studios, the game's developer, acknowledged the issue, stating that a permanent solution would require an update from Microsoft.
The official Xbox Support account announced on social media that the Xbox System Update, aimed at addressing this issue, is rolling out from today. Players should automatically receive the update within the next week. However, those eager to get it sooner can manually initiate the update through their console's Settings menu.
Michael Douse, Larian's director of publishing, expressed his hopefulness on Twitter, encouraging players to download the update and share their feedback.
In addition to the save bug, some players also reported receiving bans for unintentionally uploading clips of in-game nudity. While Larian has worked to reverse these bans, Microsoft has advised players to disable the auto-upload feature to prevent similar issues in the future.
