Sensor Tower unveiled its ranking for the highest-grossing mobile games in China's overseas markets for August 2023. HoYoverse's "Honkai: Star Rail" tops the list, followed by Tencent's "PUBG Mobile" and HoYoverse's "Genshin Impact."

The surge to the top for "Honkai: Star Rail" is attributed to a new character banner release, catapulting its global single-day revenue to new heights on August 9. Coupled with the end-of-month launch of its 1.3 version, the game saw a 23% month-on-month increase in overseas income, reclaiming the top spot. Notably, revenues from the Japanese and U.S. markets grew by 32% and 20%, respectively.

Its revenue spiked by 26%, with North America contributing 36% of the income, exceeding the overall growth rate by over 40%.

July marked a return to form for Haibei's action shooter "Survivor!.io," with a 23% uptick in overseas revenue, jumping five places to 10th on the list. NetEase's "Identity V" drew attention in Japan and the U.S., thanks to a collaborative event, causing a significant 111% surge in monthly overseas revenue and a return to 15th place.
