Persona 3 Reload
After much speculation, the Persona 3 remake, titled Persona 3 Reload, was officially announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The game's first trailer showcased updated combat and graphics similar to Persona 5, but fans quickly noticed that the additional content from Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, including the option to play as the female protagonist, was missing.
In an interview with IGN, Persona 3 Reload producer Ryota Niitsuma and chief director Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that the remake only features content from the original release of Persona 3. Despite disappointment from fans, Niitsuma and Wada emphasized their focus on recreating the Persona 3 experience with newly recorded voices, new scenes and events, and both new and arranged music.
Persona 3 Reload is set to release in early 2024 on Xbox and PC, with more console announcements potentially forthcoming. It will also be available on Game Pass from day one.
