Cassette Beasts, an open-world RPG featuring monster collection and fusion, is set to launch on Steam on April 26. In the game, players collect monsters and use cassette tapes to transform into them during turn-based battles. The Fusion System allows players to combine any two monster forms to create unique and powerful new ones.

Set on the remote island of New Wirral, players must explore every inch of the island and record monsters on their trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities. The island is inhabited by strange creatures and nightmares, as well as a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle.
Players can fuse monster forms to produce unique, fully-animated new fusion forms. Certain monster abilities can also be used in human form to help players get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Players can travel alongside a diverse cast of human companions and form bonds with them to become a better team.

The game features a deep battle system where players can take advantage of elemental chemistry to apply extra buffs or debuffs alongside their attacks. Couch co-op is also available for local multiplayer with a friend.
