Actually, since 2014, Konami has already tried to launch the new work of the Silent Hill franchise, and released probably the most well-known demo, <P.T.> produced by Hideo Kojima.

However, due to the conflict between them, Hideo Kojima set up his own studio and the new work of the Silent Hill series turned uncertain.
Not only did Konami officially announce this news, but the Art Director of the Silent Hill franchise also retweet this news, double confirming the authenticity.
