Netflix released the pixel-styled mobile platformer game Lucky Luna on September 6. The game is now available on the App Store and Google Play.
Netflix stated that Lucky Luna is inspired by a piece of Japanese folklore, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Luna in the game is a girl wearing a Kitsune mask, a fox-shaped mask used for ceremonial dances. Players will guide Luna through hidden dungeons and mysterious temples, going deeper and deeper to reveal her past.
What sets this side-scrolling platformer game apart are the moving mechanics. No jump button is set in the game; instead, players must swipe on the screen to control Luna going left or right.
