On August 29, a Japanese father sent a tweet presenting his son’s homework themed after Romance of The Three Kingdoms. His son had created a three-paneled presentation, with the portraits of the historical figures from the Three Kingdoms attached and important historical events introduced.
せっかく一人で作った小学生最後の自由研究を見て下さい😭 pic.twitter.com/A9jVj0VBVh

The father explained that the assignment was a free research project during the summer vacation and that his son had spent a month finishing it. The teacher was then supposed to pick the best of the projects created to display in the school.
However, the teacher was not content with the Three Kingdom-themed work and asked the pupil to take it home on the second day of classes, stating that the size of the paper didn’t fit. The father complained that no restrictions were placed on the size when the homework was assigned.
People think it unreasonable to exclude the pupil’s homework for the size of paper
Other parents on Twitter appreciated the pupil’s homework and thought it was unfair for the teacher to act as they did when they had not set limits. The father wishes the project could be presented somewhere in the school.
