Game developer HoYoverse has sued Minmetals International Trust for business trust disputes, according to a local court in Xining, Qinghai. The case will come to trial on July 25th.
According to multiple media outlets, HoYoverse has declined to comment on this case.
Lilith Games recently also sued the same company for the same reason.
A local court in Xining will hear the case on July 25th.
HoYoverse and Lilith Games both sued Minmetals International Trust.
Currently, the details in both of these cases remain unclear. Though, rumors say each game developer lost at least 1 million CNY (~150,000 USD), owing to the fact that the threshold of purchasing a product from Minmetals is 1 million CNY.
More noticeably, recently, Minmetals International Trust was involved in a dispute with China Merchants Bank for trust products, which reached 2.3 billion CNY (~344 million USD) in total value.
