On May 6th, the famous Japanese mobile game developer Hit-Point announced that their new game of its cute animal idle game series, Hananezumi (Flower Hedgehog), has been released for download. You can now get it for free on Appstore and GooglePlay.
In Hananezumi, Hit-Point has continued the core gameplay of the series, allowing players to interact with animals in the game, collect decorations to decorate their garden and build a better home for the cute little hedgehog. Similar to the unique travel system of the previous work, Travel Frog, players can experience a brand new planting system in Hananezumi, collecting and selecting the right seeds and then planting them on the back of their pet hedgehogs. Players also need to water and fertilize the plants regularly in order to get the beautiful flowers to bloom as soon as possible. As the latest work of the Hit-Point series, Hananezumi has increased the number of species of plants and animals. There are more than five different species of hedgehogs and 20 kinds of flowers that can be planted on the back of the hedgehogs for players to collect.
Hit-Point’s Travel Frog was previously a massive success in China with over 10 million downloads. It prompted many players to start discussing their frogs and tips for finding in-game collectibles on social media. The success of Travel Frog also sparked a boom in the development of idle games in China, with the Chinese-developed idle mobile game Yi Nian Xiao Yao in the top 10 of the Appstore’s top revenue in 2021.
