Just now, Exorcism, a Chinese horror indie game based on the stories in ancient Chinese Taoism culture, has created its store page and posted some detailed information on Steam.

In Exorcism, the player fight as a Taoist who travels to a mysterious ancient village to investigate a series of mysteries. Players will need to use various knowledge and skills from Chinese Taoist culture, such as making talismans, summoning ghosts, and resurrecting zombies, to fight supernatural enemies and eventually solve the village's crisis.

Exorcism makes extensive use of very elaborate Chinese Taoist elements in the game. Players can find almost everything they want to experience as a Taoist in this indie game: making their personalized talisman, exploring the haunted tombs of ancient princes and lords, telling fortunes, helping others with strange incurable diseases, and summoning spirits to possess themselves for battle. The game also includes many random events adapted from Chinese folk horror stories. Villagers who ask you for help on the road are likely to be transformed by evil spirits, and you may find temples and tombs that bring you random effects while exploring the wilderness. The game also features surround sound technology similar to Capcom's Resident Evil 2RE, allowing players to experience the horror immersive.

The game is to be released in fall 2022.
