Amazon Games' New 'The Lord of the Rings' Project
Amazon Games and Embracer Group's Middle-earth Enterprises have announced that they will collaborate on a new massively multiplayer online (MMO) game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. The open-world MMO will be set in Middle-earth and feature characters from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Amazon Games Orange County, the team behind the popular open-world MMO New World, will lead the game's development, which is in its early stages. Amazon Games will publish the game globally on consoles and PC, with more details to be announced at a later date.
