According to Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence platform, a total of 40 Chinese game developers made it to the top 100 global mobile game publishers in terms of revenue in April 2023, earning nearly 2 billion USD collectively and representing 40% of the total revenue for the top 100 publishers. Among them, Tencent, HoYoverse, and NetEase remain the top 3.

Among the top earners was miHoYo's "Honkai: Star Rail," a strategy game that topped the Chinese iOS game sales chart and reached the top three in major markets such as the US, Japan, and South Korea. Its global downloads during its first week were 1.6 times that of "Genshin Impact" during its launch period, while revenue was 1.3 times higher. With the addition of version 3.6 of "Genshin Impact," titled "Celebration and Wisdom," miHoYo's mobile revenue grew 45% month-over-month and returned to the second spot on the list.

Lilith Games' revenue grew 39% month-over-month to reach 100 million USD in April, driven by the success of its new SLG game, "Call of Dragons," in Europe and the US and the launch of "Dislyte" in Japan and South Korea.
