The esports league for PUBG’s Chinese version, or Peace Elite League (PEL), has held an Open Day for media yesterday, when it announced there will be some changes in the competition systems. The League will kick off on March 10th.

In detail, the mode of the game will be changed to third-person view, instead of the previous first-person view. And the four seasons will be integrated into two. In each season, there will be a Split and Playoff.

Several days before the announcement, a group of PEL esports clubs stated that they had settled in the city they favored. AG finds its home in Chengdu, STE in Shenzhen, Tianba Club in Suzhou, etc. On March 2nd, WBG’s PEL branch was also settled in Beijing.

Because of the development of Chinese esports, an increasing number of cities now would like to host an esports team, regarding it as a suitable icon of their cultural industry growth.

Besides the new system, this year, the newly added clubs for PEL are PeRo, Jteam, VS and KONE.
