WELL-LINK has announced China's first cinematic graphic game that is entirely cloud-based, The Grass of Genesis, developed with Unreal Engine 5.
The developer WELL-LINK is one of the largest cloud service providers and collaborated in the cloud version of Genshin Impact. It released a tech demo and claimed the game realizes the collaborative rendering on the cloud gaming service. Using the collaborative computing power of GPUs at the data center, the stream of the game graphics can be sent back to each user's display device smoothly.
Chuncao, the female protagonist of the game, will debut as the first virtual actress in China at the same time.
The game's theme and the main protagonist Chuncao share many semblances with the famous Tomb Raider series and its protagonist Lara Croft. Many players are genuinely interested in the game design and its protential performance on mobile devices.
WELL-LINK applies cinematic visual effects to the game based on advanced real-time cloud rendering technology. The Grass of Genesis has a storage of 10G resources per minute on the cloud service and achieves 8K resolution, 120hz refresh rate, with Dolby surround sound.
