At today's Future Games Show, Chinese developer GameZoo Studio announced that their SCP horror game SCP: Secret Files will launch for PC on September 13, 2022, and the console version will be released in early 2023.
SCP: Secret Files tells the story of a series of supernatural events at the SCP Foundation. The player will play as Dr. Raymond Hamm's assistant researcher, Karl, and will be assigned to sort through some of the top secret files. However, in the process of going through the files, Karl's perception of the world gradually changes, and his mind is seriously affected.
According to the introduction on the Steam store page, the game will contain some classic SCP monsters, such as SCP-049, which appears many times in the trailer, as well as some monsters the developers created. Players must pay attention to the collected documents and experimental videos to understand the behavior patterns and dangers of the monsters and to develop the most reasonable plan to secure them again.
The Developers also said that the SCP Foundation's world-building is vast and that each story has a very different thematic style. They hope to use a mix of different game styles to let players experience SCP Foundation's fantastic fantasy of the unknown.
