Recently, Chinese players found a counterfeit Nintendo Switch selling online for 288 RMB (41USD). The console was said to be “very good” and have “great performance”.
According to the producing company, this counterfeit Nintendo Switch has a 5.1-inch IPS high-definition screen that supports a 4K HDMI connection and a 4-core high-speed CPU. The company further claimed that the console was equipped with a 3500mA lithium battery that has a long battery life and that it can connect to the computer screen directly; the audio is fine, too.
Of course, you can not actually play Switch games with this console, but it can run some classic old games that were on PS1, GBA and other platforms.
In fact, similar counterfeit game consoles have never disappeared from the Chinese market. In February 2022, the publisher of the Nintendo Switch in China, Tencent, sued the producer of the counterfeit console and was awarded 30,000 USD in damages.
