Today, HoYoverse released the concept trailer for the new character Collei coming in version3.0 of Genshin Impact.
As a trainee forest ranger, Collei has always wanted to ensure the safety of every passenger through the Avidya forest. As the first playable character who can use the Dendro element, Collei uses a bow as a weapon and can throw boomerangs and fight with her own cat-shaped dolls.
The Dendro element can trigger three different basic reactions: Burning, Bloom, and Catalyzing, if used with the Pyro, Hydro, and Electro element, respectively. In combat, Bloom and Catalyze can evolve into further reactions. When Dendro meets Hydro, the Bloom reaction will spawn one or more Dendro Cores, dealing delayed explosive Dendro damage. Suppose these Dendro Cores come into contact with Pyro or Electro before exploding. In that case, they can trigger the Burgeon reaction and increase their AoE Dendro damage or trigger the Hyperbloom reaction, which turns Dendro Cores into Sprawling Shots that can track down nearby enemies. The Catalyze reaction stems from Dendro and Electro. It can apply the Quicken effect to affected targets and increase their damage taken from the next Dendro or Electro hit by triggering the Spread or Aggravate reaction.
At the end of the trailer, Collei mentioned Amber, her best and first friend. According to the official comics of Genshin Impact, when Collei was a child, she was subjected to evil experiments, and Amber stayed by her side until her condition stabilized. In addition, the God’s eye near her waist was also a gift from Amber.
