The famous animated television series Shaolin Wuzang will launch its remastered edition on July 29th on the BesTV platform, according to the official announcement on Weibo.

Shaolin Wuzang tells the story of Tang, Hua and Cheng, three brave and young Chinese children who fight against the ancient demon Heihu (Black Tiger) together with their master, Master Sanzang. The animation is produced by Les Cartooneurs Associés, Fantasia Animation, France 3 and Jetix Europe. It spans twenty-six episodes, over two thirteen-episode seasons, which were broadcast in China, France, and Australia.

The creator of the series, Zhang Tian Xiao, has also replied to the Weibo post, saying that he’s very happy to see there are still fans supporting his previous works. He sincerely hopes that there will be an opportunity to launch a sequel to Shaolin Wuzang in the future. Actually, Zhang had planned on making a Shaolin Wuzang sequel in movie form back in 2016 and was in the process of writing a script for the movie. However, due to production shortages, the making of the sequel was delayed.
