Sega has announced ten new games for the Mega Drive Mini 2 (which will be known as the Sega Genesis Mini 2 in North America) retro console, scheduled for release in Japan on October 27, including the sumo fighting game Aah! Harimanada and the RPG Lunar: Eternal Blue. The console will contain more than 50 games and be priced at 10978 yen (80 USD).
The Mega Drive Mini 2 is a completely redesigned version of the Mega Drive Mini. According to the announcement, the fighting game Aah! Harimanada, known to be "the most problematic game on the Mega Drive" due to its ambitious requirement of a 70-win-streak in 1 Play mode to view the game’s ending, will be included in the console. This release also features the Mega-CD masterpiece Lunar: The Silver Star and its sequel, Lunar: Eternal Blue.
