According to game media The Game Post, information on a NetEase artist's Linkedin profile indicates that NetEase is currently working with the developer of the famous Destiny and Halo series, Bungie, on an unannounced FPS mobile game.
Presently, there are various statements about the collaboration between NetEase and Bungie, and a self-proclaimed NetEase developer said that they are currently developing the latest work of the Destiny series with Bungie and that the game has been in development for two years. On the other hand, there is also news that this unannounced work will be a mobile game with totally new stories and characters and will be operated by NetEase after its official release.
Back in April, Bungie had been hiring senior mobile engineers on Greenhouse to expand their work to iOS/Android platforms, which coincided with the rumors of this partnership with NetEase.
Back in 2019, Bungie received an investment of over 100 million dollars from NetEase. At that time, Bungie's CEO Pete Parsons mentioned that NetEase has experience in the mobile space that Bungie does not have, and this partnership could also facilitate Bungie to incubate some new ideas.
As of now, both Bungie and NetEase have not made any statement on this; whether we will see the well-designed Raids with our friends on a mobile phone is still a mystery.
