BoyleSports launches new “King of the Weekend” Prediction & Accumulator App in partnership with SuperPixel Digital Product Studio
BoyleSports, Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker has joined forces with SuperPixel Digital Product Studio to build an exciting new app. King of the Weekend allows users to play for a weekly jackpot each week. Make seven correct Premier League predictions and you are in with a good chance of winning the Jackpot.
The King of the Weekend app is a unique free-to-play app in the UK and Irish betting landscape, enabling punters to test their powers of prediction when it comes to football, winning the accolade of “King of the Weekend” and some cash along the way.
Eamonn Murphy, Head of Content, BoyleSports said “This initiative is part of the BoyleSports Innovation Programme, which sees us working with start-ups and more established partners like Superpixel who are conceptualising clever products for betting and gaming punters. In SuperPixel, we recognised a team of people who are passionate about this industry and have the smarts and creativity required to quickly turn around highly engaging mobile apps.”
SuperPixel, a digital product studio, built and designed the app under licence for BoyleSports. The licence runs for a year, the licensing arrangement makes it much easier and more affordable for SuperPixel clients to build an app. The studio built all the server infrastructure utilising a unique SuperPixel prediction engine which stores all game logic, persistence and interface with the Boylesports API and can be relicensed by Boylesports. The app was launched last weekend.
Barry Duffy CEO of SuperPixel commented “At SuperPixel we look to identify and develop technology innovations for the gambling and gaming industry, with customers’ needs at the core of each idea. This is the way of the future where established technology experts like ourselves can help not only established companies like BoyleSports but also start ups who are looking for technical expertise to bring a great product to market. We are delighted with this partnership with BoyleSports. We are looking forward to working with them on many more products in the future.”
As an added incentive players can play again for free if they share their predictions through their social media channels and the app also allows confident players to place an accumulator based on their predictions.
Mark McGann, Creative Director of SuperPixel said “Incredibly, we’ve already seen more than half of all users share their picks socially. With people on average having 338 friends on social media this new feature is fast exposing the app to a significant number of like-minded new potential clients. All without paying for it. We already know that people rate word of mouth & recommendations from friends as the most influential factor when making purchasing decisions and with such a high LTV in this sector it just makes great business sense.”
